Patients came forward to donate their plasma to help Covid patients recover

Chhatra Sansad’s Plasma Donation Drive has gained momentum as a donor, a recovered COVID-19 patient, donated his plasma on 17th August. The donated Plasma will be used to help medically critical patients to help increase their chances of recovery and return back to normal life.

Chhatra Sansad, in association with Indu Blood Bank has organised this Plasma Drive with the help of Vadodara Municipal Corporation to help COVID-19 positive patients. The Plasma collection which has already begun will help save countless lives.

All patients who will have received this antibody rich plasma will now have a much greater chance of recovery and return to normalcy. Numerous lives of not only patients, but also Frontline warriors could have been saved if only they had access to Plasma Donations.

Chhatra Sansad has been contacting recovered COVID-19 patients to come forward and donate plasma to help ease the suffering of medically critical patients, an experience which they are unfortunately familiar with.

Chhatra Sansad is doing everything in its power to make the process of Plasma Donation from arranging transportation for the donors to ensuring proper chain of custody and associated logistics of the donated plasma.

Chhatra Sansad urge the citizens of Vadodara to get their antibody testing done to check whether they are eligible to donate Plasma.

Plasma Donation is a completely safe procedure with no effects on one’s health and body and doesn’t cause any “weakness” or reduce the ability of one’s body to fight of the virus if infected.
