Clicking a photo with a crocodile inside Kamatibaug in Vadodara proved costly for a youth as the city animal activists complaint the matter to the forest department.

Montu Gaekwad uploaded the picture on his Facebook account and after that it went viral and the city based animal activists demanded strict action against the youth.

Kamatibaug is the place for many animals and birds who are kept inside various cages. Similarly the reptiles like crocodiles are also kept inside the open zoo where no one is allowed inside. Montu Gaekwad went inside the cage where crocodiles were kept and risked his life by went near to one of the crocodile. Not only that he clicked his picture with the reptile pointing towards him with a style. On 18th November he uploaded the picture and updated his cover picture of his social account.

However after the news spreads the animal activists Snehal Bhavsar and Raj Bhavsar went to the forest department and informed them about the incident. They also asked about the responsibility of the security personal who is responsible for such a security breach.

"This type of pictures with animals is not good and against the laws. They must be punished in such a way that no one can ever think about such thing in future. We informed the matter to the forest department and requested them to take evasive steps against the culprit. We also tweet and informed Municipal Commissioner about the same," said Snehal Bhatt from VSPCA.

However the zoo curator C.B. Patel said that they already tightened the security inside the zoo and they are investigating further into the matter. He also said that if necessary they will file a police case into the matter.

Earlier three youths from Vadodara took a selfie with lion in Sasan Gir and they posted on facebook account. As they were fined for 75,000 rupees under wildlife protection act.

Similarly in the month of August a youth from Karelibaug took a selfie with a baby cobra and posted on facebook account. The forest department punished him and ordered penalty of Rs 25,000. Later he also deleted the post and wrote a apology letter for not commuting such crime again.

In 2013 in the month of July three youths of Manjalpur area caught a baby crocodile and posted on facebook account. As crocodile follows into schedule 1 so to caught them one should have to take permission. All the three were arrested under act 1972 section 2,9 and 16 and later get bail from the court.
