As the rains stopped in Vadodara people are now looking forward to upcoming festive season to celebrate. As Rakshabandhan is few days away people are visiting the market to purchase Rakhis and it gives a welcome relief to the businessmen as they lose hope for a profitable season due to floods.

This year Rakshabandhan falls on 15th August the Independence Day and we are celebrating two occasions on the same day. Like every year this year also the market is flooded with varieties of Rakhis with American Diamond studded and pendants style Rakhis are in great demand.

Wholesaler from Ghadiyali pole area Bobbybhai Jain said this time due to floods in Vadodara they lost hope for a profitable season and the small traders might face loss. But as the rain stopped people comes out to purchase and that gives them hope to recover their manufacturing cost.

A season businessman on Raopura road Mukesh Shah said due to floods and rains in Vadodara they don't dare to purchase Rakhis. But as the rains stopped and business pick up they now starts purchasing it from wholesalers and hoping for a good business.

Another businessman doing Rakhis business for last 15 years Haresh Soni said this time American diamonds and pendant type Rakhis are in great demand. People are asking for attractive and reasonable rakhis and markets are studded with varieties of rakhis specially for children like toys and lighting ones.
