Padra Supply officer assured of strict action against the guilty

A racket of selling grains stock outside by the owner of Government approved rationing shop came to light in Ranu village in Padra. People after not getting enough stock of grains raised protest against the shop which makes the DSO and other members rush to the spot. In is worth mentioning that the shop was sealed by the department a month ago for the same reason.

As per the details Pandit Deendayal Grahak Bhandar at Ranu village is run by Mayank Chandu Limbachiya from the same village. The supply department provide enough quantity of grains stock to the shop time to time for the 600 odd customers. However the owner sold the quantity outside without giving the proper amount of supply to the customers.

For the last three months the customers are not getting enough amount of supply from the shop and raised a protest on Saturday against the shop owner. They shouted slogans holding their ration cards against the black marketing by the owner. However Padra Supply officer D.B. Baria and his staff rushed to the spot before the matter went out of their hands. Taluka Panchayat member Piyush Patel also reached the spot and listen to the pleas of the people.

Abbas Malek a customer said the owner Mayank Limbachiya don't give them the supply they deserve and make excuses for not having enough supply inside his shop. He put allegations on him for sell the supply outside for his benefit.

Another customer Nasim Banu said one month earlier his shop was sealed by the concerned department for the same reason. However in one month time the shop opened again and she put allegations on the people from the department involve in the racket.

Supply officer said the department send supply to the shop just three days ago and they are taking every step to provide enough quantity to provide ration to customers on regular basis. Their department will investigate the matter and take strict action in case the shop owner found guilty.
