As Vishwamitri river flowing from inside Vadodara city reached near danger level, the administration shifted people living alongside to safer places.

As water entered inside the residential areas people moved their essentials to safer places and wait for the situation to improve. However on Tuesday morning the level of the river is steady but not normal.

After heavy rains and inflow of water into Ajwa lake, Vishwamitri river reached near the danger level flowing from inside the Vadodara city. As a result the water entered inside the residential areas and people moved to safer places along with their essentials.

Nearly 500 people were shifted to safer places by the administration and they took shelter in schools and other buildings.

VMC also issued warning to people living near the river as the level is hovering near the danger level mark. Fire brigade is also constantly monitoring the situation and issues alert to the people about taking precautionary measures.

Nearly 500 people from Jalaram nagar, Munjmahuda, Subhashnagar and other areas were moved to safer places. As the level of the river increases people residing in slums, societies and bungalows nearby moved their essentials to safer places and a sense of fear was seen in them.

The Alkapuri underpass is also closed as a preventive step and barricading was put there by the administration to stop people from going nearby. However the level is steady but yet not normal and the administration is alert to tackle any situation.
