People left with no option after Marriage halls booking cancelled by VMSS

It's a shocker for the families after their bookings were cancelled due to the elections. The families who booked halls coming under VMSS for marriage were stranded and they reached the VMSS office with their plea.

The bookings of the halls are completed about four months ago much before the declaration of the elections. The families published the marriage cards and already send to their relatives to remain present on the date and place mentioned inside. However the bookings of the halls are cancelled due to the elections and the families are now stranded with no option available.

"We booked Indrapuri Atithi Gruh for December 16 for marriage of girl in the family. We also deposited the money and send marriage cards to the relatives. Now the VMSS send message about cancellation of the booking at the last minute which left us with no option but to postpone the date of marriage as no other halls or venues are available. The VMSS send message to collect the booking amount from the office," said Pramod More.

The VMSS officials said due to elections the bookings of the halls are cancelled on the orders of top officials. The halls will be used for lodging of CRPF and RAF jawans coming here for the election security work.
