Vadodara P.C.B. team arrested four Bangladeshi residents for cheating by giving them bundles of paper showing currency of Saudi Arabia. Police seized their passports, 10 Saudi Riyal of 100 denomination, sim cards and other important documents from them.
As per the details the team PCB based on the tip kept a watch at Vasna road in front of Hanuman temple and caught four Bangladeshi citizens Mohammad Mutbar, Aslam Akon, Roni Munshi and Nurajmaal Mulla while they are passing from there. They all the involved in cheating people in the name of giving them Saudi Riyal but instead handover paper bundles with one or two at the top.
Police recovered four passports, mobiles, 36 sim cards of different companies, aadhar card in the name of Sikandar, pancard, 10 Saudi Riyal of 100 denomination, 26 notes of 20 dollar, Bangladeshi currency of 3 notes of 100, one each of 20 and 5 and paper bundles from them.
“They carefully place the original Saudi Riyal currency on the top and then cheat people by giving them the bundle of papers in name of the currency. They fool people by giving them the paper bundles beneath the original currency at lower price then the original. They also cheat people in the other cities like Kolkata, Delhi, Surat, Bangalore with the same Modus operandi,” said H.M. Vyas Incharge PI PCB Vadodara.
The accused yesterday cheated a autorickshaw driver for 15,000 and a offence is registered in J.P. police station in this regard. The ring leader named Sikandar managed to escape and search is on to trace him. The police is also investigating in how they managed to get Aadhar card and Pancard of India while originally hailed from Bangladesh.
