Recovered from Jabugam in Chhotaudepur district, police informed

A woman from Orwada village in Chhotaudepur district gave birth to a newborn baby at Jabugam Health Center. Both the mother and the infant were later referred to Sayaji Hospital in Vadodara after the report of both came positive. It is learnt that yesterday both the mother and father absconded from there and the incident was reported to the police.

As per available details, Sumitra Mahipat Baria, a resident of Orwada village in Bodeli taluka of Chhotaudepur district, was taken to Jabugam health center on the 5th of this month, where she gave birth to a child. The mother and son were tested for corona as per the tradition of the health center and both tested positive. Both were referred to SSG hospital and the infant was admitted to the GMMCU ward of the pediatric department. Sumitrab and Mahipat were worried as the infant condition was serious.

Mother Sumitraben was also undergoing treatment for corona. Meanwhile it is learnt that both the mother and father had fled after abandoning the baby in the morning yesterday. The news came as a shock to the nursing staff and the mother of other children and they curse them.

It is learned that the doctor of the ward has also informed the police about the in incident.
