P. Swaroop took charge as new commissioner of VMC

Farewell ceremony of outgoing Municipal Commissioner Nalin Upadhyay was held on Wednesday

The new commissioner P. Swaroop formally took charge of the VMC on Thursday as Nalin Upadhyay has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.

P. Swaroop was welcomed by the officials with a bouquet of flowers after took charge as new commissioner of the VMC. He thanked and felt grateful to the government for giving him the opportunity to serve in the civilized city of Vadodara and to co-operate in the development work together. However he avoided the questions related to bad roads and others in the city.

"I am thankful to the government for providing me a chance to serve in the cultural city of Vadodara. I will carry forward the the development work in the city and speed up the process," said Swaroop.

Nalin Upadhyay, Municipal Commissioner, Vadodara Municipal Corporation, has been transferred to Gandhinagar. He was replaced by P. Swaroop as the new Municipal Commissioner of Vadodara. The farewell ceremony of Nalin Upadhyay was held at Vadodara Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.
