OSD visited Oxygen plants manufacturing company using PSA technology

Officer on Special Duty and Education secretary Dr. Vinod Rao visited Bosco Factory at Manjusar Savli which manufactures Oxygen Plants using PSA technology.

Bosco is installing Oxygen Plants sponsored by various donors at SSG and Gotri Hospitals. These Plants have maximum capacity of about 400 Liters Per Minute, which is less than 1 Ton per day. This is only sufficient to support at the most 4 Patients on Ventilators or 30 patients on NRBM or 80 Patients on Nasal Oxygen.

Dr. Rao said, their requirements in SSG and Gotri Hospitals is about 25 to 30 Tons for each Hospital each day. They discussed how to increase the Capacity of Oxygen Plant to about 2000 to 2500 Liters per Minute that is about 5 Tons per day.

He further informed that technical and financial viability of such Large Plants will be examined in one or two days.
