One day seminar on waste water treatment in Navrachana University

School of Engineering and Technology, Navrachana University, Vadodara organized an One Day Seminar on “Advance Tertiary Waste Water Treatment” on 24th February, 2018.

The seminar mainly focused on technology for industrial water treatment, recycle and reuse and how to combine or redefine the finer aspects of existing methods -physicochemical methods and biological methods. Specific aspects of selecting wastewater treatment methodologies with most appropriate technology were discussed in the seminar.

Emphasis was given to industrial applications and removal of pollutants in wastewater treatment particularly during tertiary treatment to such an extent that reclaimed water can be recycled and reused. The seminar also focused on other aspects to realize environmentally benign and globally competitive process and technology.

Samnani, Department of Chemistry, M.S.University of Baroda, Vadodara were the resource persons in the seminar attended by more than 250 delegates across Gujarat and other states.

During this event, Navrachana Unviesity, Vadodara also launched an innovative and interdisciplinary course, M.Sc. Environmental Science & Technology, 2018-19.
