At his age people lives a peaceful retired life along with their family. But for Mohanlal Chauhan life is to move around and enjoy the beauty of nature. The 73 year old retired ONGC employee from Vadodara set on for a tour to Cambodia with his wife on his favorite Bullet. The idea is to enjoy the time with his better half.
The couple set out for a tour to Cambodia on Thursday from their home in Vadodara. Mohanlal Chauhan picks his favorite 1974 Bullet and with few modifications starts the tour with a mission to spread the message of save environment. They will visit the temples during the tour and reach Cambodia after 200 days and ends his journey with a darshan at Vishnu temple there.
The couple starts from Vadodara and moves to MP, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur in India and also covers places in Nepal. He then reaches Burma in Myanmar and get the tourist visa on arrival and head to Thailand and ends his journey at Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
"I want to live life at the fullest enjoying the beauty of nature. After retired from ONGC I make it a point to enjoy the every moment of life and hence decide to go for a ride along with my better half. Nature has lots to offer to the mankind but we are destroying it. So I thought to include the message of save environment during my tour to Cambodia," said Chauhan.
The couple carries all the things along with them like utensils and small stove to make food and other essential items during the journey. The bullet is fitted with GPS to track them.
"I feel proud that at this age my father set out for a journey like this along with my mother. We fit a GPS inside the bike to track their location and also knows about where they reaches as it's a very long journey of almost 200 days," said Telimo their only son.
