Bed capacity of Sayaji Hospital will increase to 800

Dr. Vinod Rao, Officer on Special Duty and Education Secretary, consulted with the District Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Food and Drug Regulatory Authority as well as representatives of the oxygen supply agencies about the oxygen supply situation.

He said that a control room has been set up in the office of the district superintendent of police for easy transport, distribution and uninterrupted movement of oxygen supply. Care is being taken from the beginning of oxygen supply to the hospital. In order to reduce the time required for refilling of oxygen, the facility of refilling of liquid oxygen in the new field has been considered.

Dr. Rao also reviewed the situation of Sayaji Hospital. On Saturday approximately 750 patients were admitted and under treatment at the hospital.

He visited and inspected the psychiatric ward. It was decided to start a covid treatment ward here with oxygen facility of 50 beds. By the time this ward is started the bed capacity will increase to 800.
