The first seven Rounds from June to September covered houses across the whole City. To make it more effective, the last three Rounds were Targeted Surveillance of houses in High Risk Areas alone. They will have the next Round of Targeted Surveillance from 13th to16th October.

He further said, on Friday they also completed 100 days of Dhanwantari Raths, working since July.  The cumulative number of persons who availed help from Dhanwantari Raths crossed 5 lakhs today. These Proactive Surveillance strategies helped in early detection of symptomatic patients and their timely treatment and recovery.

One of the most successful points of Vadodara ‘s fight against COVID since the month of May was focus on Home based COVID Care. To strengthen it, in September they have started Advanced Home based COVID Care for High Risk Persons above 50 years, with some symptoms or comorbidities.

Dr. Rao said, ensured telephonic monitoring of health parameters of these patients twice every day. About 50 of them whose parameters worsened were referred in time to Hospital, and could be saved. Since last 10 days the number of patients are decreasing across all Hospitals in the City.
