Now pay less on electric bills in State capital

Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission have made changes in regulatory charge from 1st July hence from this date consumers in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Surat have to pay less for electric bills.

As per the changes there will be benefit of 200 crore for Ahmedabad consumers and 90 crore for Surat consumers. The change is already approved by GERC in the Tarrif order for Torrent Power on March 31, 2016.

As per the changes, the consumers of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will get benefit of Rs 27 paisa and Surat consumers will get benefit of 28 paisa per unit.

While speaking to connectgujarat Surat based consumer Ashish Patel said, " This type of few decisions sometimes indicate the ray of hope for "Achae Din" but another prices like petrol and vegetables should also be brought under control."
