Noticed by the primary education officer of Vadodara district
Radhika Soni, who has been involved in education for 20 years, is a activity based learning teacher in a primary school in Boriyad village under Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara district.
This type of teaching is an approach to inspire the kids who are starting education through various activities and to create attachment towards the school. It also lead to creativity in them.
Playing with the children and using their imagination, she created beautiful art work by using various vegetables available at home and brought from the farm. These works created on the floor of the house became very beautiful and complete.
Using vegetables like Eggplant, Corset, Small Tomatoes, Cucumber, Chilli, Turiya, Tindola and Flowers, she prepared artworks which even turned the attention of District Primary Education Officer Archana Chaudhary. She saw the pictures and took a positive note of it.
Archana Chaudhary said that the pragmatic approach of creative education has been adopted in the first and second standard of government primary schools. The aim is to educate the students in a way that they are interested in activities. This vegetable art can be a successful result of intellectual education.
Radhika said that due to her niece's stubbornness she joined the children and these works became spontaneous. It can also be durable if glued to a thick paper or plastic seat.
It is worth noting that like Radhika Soni, many other hardworking teachers and educators are cultivating the art in kids through various means including clay work to make the approach of this activity based education successful.
She don't even know that this vegetable art she post in the WhatsApp group of similar teachers will be noticed from the top level.
Now when the school opens, she will try this vegetable art with the children under the rainbow activities of this learning. This art creation in a game with children is really worth noting.
