Nota (None of the above) is an important part of the election process, and the Election Commission of India has given the voters the option of choosing none of the above candidates.

The State Election Commission has also accepted it, so in the upcoming local body elections, voters have been given the right to reject all candidates from the NOTA option if they do not like any of them.

As a result, a option will be kept after all the candidates in the ballot papers on the voting machines for the district, taluka panchayat, municipality and corporation. By pressing the button the voters will have the option to reject all the candidates.

Dr. Sudhir Joshi, Nodal Officer, SWAP, said that the information of NOTA has been given in the ongoing voter awareness activities. Recently, students of ONGC School, Rosary and Mother School were given the detailed information about NOTA in a very interesting way through a short play. Information about it is also given by the nodal officer in the programs.

As part of the swap, a voting resolution signature campaign was recently organized at Parul University, which was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the Institute.

On Monday students and professors at Tarsali ITI and Dasharath ITI pledge and took oath to vote for sure in upcoming elections.
