Officer on Special Duty Dr. Vinod Rao clarified the wrong information of shortage of beds in Vadodara. He request everyone to help them saving maximum lives in the city.

Releasing the details he informed, Out of 1388 Patients in our Hospitals, 212 are from outside Vadodara District, who came to Vadodara because of best service. As per plans they have already increased the Bed Capacity to 3000 Beds from Thursday. Continuing the same they are increasing it to 5000 beds by first week of August. Also are proportionally increasing ICU and Ventilator beds.

He said their COVID Management Plan has been one of the most successful so far. The projections and plans made as early as mid-April is turning out to be almost accurate. He request everybody to help them saving maximum possible lives in the city.

He informed, Some wrong news reports came in a section of media that there are no vacant beds in our Hospitals. Such incorrect news will create unnecessary fear and panic in the citizens.

As per latest reports, total 1175 patients from Vadodara city and rural are admitted in Hospitals of the city. Total 212 patients are from outside Vadodara under treatment in the hospitals. Out of them one from Ahmedabad, five from Surat, 92 from Bharuch, 63 from Anand and Kheda, 51 from Godhra, Mahisagar, Dahod, Narmada and Vapi.
