    This year the Vadodara central jail inmates will be deprived of celebrating the festival of Rakshabandhan due to Coronavirus. It is learnt that the jail authorities have decide not to celebrate the festival due to the pandemic.

    Every year Rakshabandhan festival is celebrated with great fervor inside the Vadodara Central jail. The authorities also make arrangements inside the premises for the sisters to tie Rakhis on the wrists of their brothers serving jail terms. 

    However this year as the city is fighting with the Corona Pandemic, it is learnt that the jail authorities have decided not to celebrate the festival inside. Some of the inmates are also tested positive earlier and that might also be the reason for the cancellation of the festival.

    However the decision surely hurt the emotions of the sisters who are waiting for the whole year to tie Rakhis on the wrists of their brothers and a chance to had brief conversation with them.
