Nine states complete implementation for One Nation one Ration Card System

A total of nine states have completed the implementation process of One Nation One Ration Card System. Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh have successfully completed the reforms in PDS.

Additional borrowing permission of 23 thousand 523 crore rupees has been issued to these states on completion of reforms. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that One Nation One Ration System is a critical reform required particularly to benefit our migrant workers.

The system will ensure that the beneficiaries, especially the migrant workers and their families, get ration from any Fair Price Shop across the country.
