New Update

Over Sameer Wankhede's role in the Mumbai narcotics bust case, a verbal brawl erupted between the NCP and the BJP. While Nawab Malik stated that he will hand over a letter detailing the NCB official's misdeeds to the agency's head, Mohit Kamboj of the Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that the Maharashtra minister wrote the letter himself in order to save his son-in-law, who was previously arrested in a drugs case. A lawyer has also filed a criminal complaint against Malik for intimidating a public official in Mumbai.

Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, who arrived in Mumbai on Monday, will represent Aryan Khan in his bail hearing before the Bombay High Court. Along with Rohatgi, senior lawyers Ruby Singh Ahuja and Sandeep Kapur, partners of Karanjawala and Co, would speak on behalf of Shah Rukh Khan's 23-year-old son. Kapur is most noted for representing Avantha Group promoter Gautam Thapar. According to Karanjawala and Co, the new team joins previous legal counsel Amit Desai, Satish Manshinde, Anandini Fernandes, and Rustom Mulla.

After a special court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act refused his appeal on October 20, and then extended his judicial detention until October 30, SRK's son petitioned the HC for an urgent bail hearing. According to a report in a national newspaper, Aryan's bail petition was assigned serial number 57, while Arbaaz Merchant's was assigned serial number 64. In the high court, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) would oppose the bail of all of the defendants in the case, including Aryan Khan.
