    Indian martial artist Vivek Teja won the Martial Arts Championships in Sydney, Australia on 31 July.

    After winning the Martial Arts Championship, Vivek Teja become the World Karate Champion.

    Vivek Teja defeated martial artists from New Zealand and England in the first and second round respectively. Vivek Teja defeated Australian taekwondo star Matthew Rose in the final to clinch the title.

    Vivek Teja has won over 60 medals at nationals and internationals tournaments.
