    Tennis star Roger Federer set up a new record for winning most Grand Slam single matches. He set up this record after beating Marin Cilic in Wimbledon quarter final on 6th July.

    First of all this record was achieved by Martina Navratilova.

    This was Federer’s 307th win at Grand Slam singles and his 84th victory at Wimbledon, equalling Jimmy Connor for the most number of wins at Wimbledon.

    With this win Roger Federer also set down to play a record 11th Wimbledon semi final.

    Many sportsmen reacted on twitter for Federer win. Australian cricketer Steven Smith tweeted, “That is one of the greatest comebacks I’ve ever seen and that is why he is an absolute champion!”. Commentator Harsha Bhogle tweeted,”Better and better. @rogerfederer lives”.
