Neeraj Chopra sets U20 javelin world record
Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal & set up a new world record at the IAAF World U20 Championship.
Neeraj Chopra broke the U20 javelin world record with a 86.48 meter throw at the IAAF World U20 Championship on 23rd July.
The previous record was 84.69 meters and he achieved this mile stone just on age of 19.
Neeraj Chopra broke the national record and became the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal World title at any level.
Notably, Neeraj Chopra will not be participating at the Rio Olympics.
