NDRF DG S.N. Pradhan visited RRC Gandhinagar and BISAG during his one day visit. He interacted with the unit officers, personnel and review the innovations of new equipments to face the challenges coming in front of them to save lives in the time of tragedy.

A dyanamic and tech savy officer of Jharkhand cadre Pradhan is known for development and use of technology during his tenure in operational activities in different parts of country. During his visit he interacted with the unit officers and personnel on the same line and appriciated the innovations of new equipments and Track station drill. He also appreciated the unit culture of purpose maintained by unit commandant R. S Joon.

He also visited the BISAG Gandhinagar for technology upgradation in the field of disaster management. He addressed the Sainik sammellan and given his warm wishes to unit officers and men.

“During the visit DG S.N. Pradhan interacted with BISAG director T. P. SINGH regarding use of Geo Informatic Technologies of BISAG in disaster response, preparedness of community, data compilation of resources as to make tech savy of NDRF responders.

During the RRC visit at Gandhinagar 6 Bn NDRF also displayed its communication capacity by showing its demonstration conducted at Vadadala dam Vadodara and live displayed at Gandhinagar by using the QDA application,” said R.K. Mishra PRO 6 NDRF, Vadodara.

Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geoinformatics (BISAG) is a State level agency by Government of Gujarat to facilitate to provide services and solutions in implementing map-based Geo Spatial Information Systems. With new challenges to face every time the NDRF is searching for technology to upgrade themselves for saving more lives and resources in the time of tragedy.

“During the visit to BISAG many things like Photogrammetry, Global Navigation Satellite Survey and land survey technology for resources in disaster management , software management, technology transfer is discussed in the seminar. The aim is to improve the response machanism within a golden hour,” adds Mishra.
