In preparation for the Cyclone Tauktae which is expected to hit the western coast of India in next few days, NDRF has deployed around 30 teams in Gujarat at various locations. More teams are arriving to assist them.

The cyclonic storm “Tauktae” is expected to hit the western coast around 18 May 21. In view of the severity and save precious lives and property, NDRF teams have been mobilised to different locations. In Gujarat around 30 teams are deployed at various locations and more teams are going to land in the state to assist them.

The teams are equipped with boats, cutting equipments, search lights and other modern rescue equipments. In view of the Covid situation they also have PPE kits, masks, gloves, face shield, sanitisers and special rescue suit for safety of rescuers.
