NCC day celebrations at Ahmedabad

As part of the National Cadets Corps Day Celebrations, a grand event was organized at Law Garden at the NCC Group Headquarters Ahmedabad on 24th November 2019. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama Education Minister of Gujarat remain present at the occasion where he was presented a Guard of Honour on arrival followed by a Flag area briefing and a Cultural program.

Chudasama congratulated the young NCC cadets on this ocassion for their constant contribution towards nation building as an amalgamation of ideas, action and future planning. The NCC Directorate Gujarat, Daman, Diu & Dadra and Nagar Haveli has been a forerunner towards this cause. The Minister also honoured outstanding NCC Cadets with Medals and awards.

On the occasion, Cadets of the Senior and Junior division wings representing five groups of the NCC Directorate of Gujarat Daman Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli took part in a parade reviewed by Brigadier Sanjiv Dutt, Group Commander Rajkot.

During the year 2019, the NCC cadets participated wholeheartedly in Swachhta Abhiyan, Swasth Bharat Yatra, Karmbhoomi to Janmbhoomi cycle expedition, Motorcycle Rally, Sailing Regatta and played a pivotal role in spreading awareness about various government initiatives like Digital Literacy, Yoga, Blood Donation Camps and Immunisation programs and others.

The multifaceted activities and varied curriculum of NCC provides unique opportunities to youth for self-development. Many cadets have done the nation and the organisation proud by their remarkable achievements in the fields of sports and adventure and have won many laurels in these fields. The NCC continues its relentless efforts towards moulding the present day youth into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
