Not only the common man but the star personalities also stand in line at petrol pumps to use their old currency for petrol.
Nayan Mongia former wicket keeper of Indian cricket team was seen in one of the petrol pump in Vadodara and fill petrol of 1500 rupees in his car. He hand over one 1000 and 500 rupees note in the petrol pump.
After government decision to ban the 1000 and 500 rupees notes from 8th November midnight the people were seen in long ques to exchange their currency outside the banks. Similarly the vehicle owners are seen fill their tanks by using the old currency at petrol pumps.
On Monday there was a rare sight at one of the petrol pumps in Vadodara where former cricketer Nayan Mongia was seen standing in line to fill his car tank. He handover 1500 rupees of old currency notes at the petrol pump. After filling the tank he appreciated the decision of PM Narendra Modi and request people to have patience.
“The decision is good and it will have a good effect on the country in long term. I requested the people to have patience as all good things happens later,” said Mongia.
