Kept inside four bags
Navapura surveillance squad arrested two accused with 100kgs of silver from Vadodara. Police recovered silver plates, biscuits and coins kept inside four bags from them.
The team during patrolling intercepted a speeding Activa coming from Lalbaug bridge towards Kashivishwanath temple. The duo said their names as Santosh Pawar and Ramsingh Ninama both from Padra. The team found a suspicious bag kept on the two wheeler and while searching found silver plates, biscuits and coins kept inside four bags weighing around 100kgs and worth 38.80lakhs.
The duo failed to present any papers regarding the silver jewellery and detained by the police for further investigation
