Efforts are being made by the Nature Walk Group of Vadodara to protect the trees necessary for the environment. For the last many months they released the grown trees from the cages under the “Free the Tree” program and help them flourish.

The Nature Walk Group is working to  save the environment and they are running a campaign from July to free the grown trees from the cages in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation area.  The 1000th tree cage was released on Sunday today by the organization.

They free the trees from cages on Dabhoi Waghodia ring road near Somatalav cross road. About 20 trees were released from the cages under the Free the Tree campaign in the presence of former mayor Dr. Jigishaben Seth and Hitendrabhai Patel, former chairman of the Standing Committee.

Fifteen volunteers of the organisation removed the tree cages with cutters as well as safety equipment. Children, young people and others are involved in the Free the Tree campaign and on Saturdays and Sundays gathered to free the trees from cages.
