MSU Baroda Faculty of Pharmacy organized a one-day UGC sponsored National Seminar on "Recent Advances in Dermaceuticals (NSRAD 2018)" on 20th January. The seminar was organised at Mrunalini Devi Puar Auditorium, Faculty of Family and Community Sciences was attended by 135 delegates coming from all across India.

The seminar focus on the key aspects of topical drug delivery taking in consideration the ever increasing cases of dermal disorders and rapidly growing market of dermal products. Eminent researchers in the field of dermal drug delivery were invited as resource persons in the seminar.

The Seminar was attended by The Seminar was attended by more than 135 delegates representing academia, industry and student fraternity. Eminent speakers from academia and industry were invited to deliver lectures on varied topics related to Dermaceuticals.

Ambalal Patel, MD of Centurion laboratories Pvt. ltd, Vadodara was the Guest of Honour and Prof. Parimal Vyas, Vice-Chancellor of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda presided over the function.

Dr Madhusudhan Bommagani, Vice president, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals focused on Topical Formulation Development while Prof. Vandana Patravale, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai provided an overview of Challenges and recent trends in Dermaceuticals.

Dr Purnima Shah, Owner of Derosa Pharmacy and Home healthcare, USA shared her experiences on Customized compounding of Dermaceuticals.

Dr. Abhay Muthal, Vice President - Regulatory affairs, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. apprised the delegates about Global Regulatory Requirements for Dermaceuticals.

Dr Vaibhav Dubey, Sr Manager, Sun Pharma Industries Ltd, discussed about Bioequivalence assessment of Dermaceuticals.
