Nandesari Industrial estate houses many chemical companies producing different types of chemicals. However the nearby villages are always in concern regarding the pollution spreading in the area and many times raised their voice against it. The newly built Nandesari Police station is also suffering the same and the Incharge PI wrote a letter to the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and asked for their help.

15Vadodara is considered to be the important city in Western India due to the presence of many big industries around it. Nandesari is also among one of them where more than 180 small and big chemical industries are situated. The factories produce different type of chemicals and the gas was released in the air intentionally or leakage is what to be investigated. The people residing in nearby villages are suffering from the pollution and many times raise objections. But the thing continues and now the law enforcers are also feeling the heat of the pollution caused by the industries.

The newly started Nandesari Police station staff is felling the same polluted environment and fed up with the thing wrote a letter to the GPCB to help them nab the culprits. The letter is addressed to the GPCB Regional Officer and written by Incharge PI P.R. Chaudhary asking for their help.

The letter states that recently the newspapers reported about the smell of gas leakage in different areas of Vadodara city. In view of that the Industrial area Nandesari GIDC housed 179 chemical factories where Amonia, Chlorine and Carbondioxide like gases were released. The letter further states that Vadodara city and villages like Nadesari, Angadh, Rupapura, Chamundanagar, Gohilpura, Fajalpur falls under Nandesari police station area complained about the gases and its necessary to investigate in the matter.

The letter further states that a investigation is necessary to know the companies produced which gases, releasing it or leakage and how it is hazardous to the environment. The PI requested the GPCB officer to make a team along with them to crack down on the companies which are releasing such hazardous chemical gases in the air hazardous to health. They asked for their help to take action against such companies.

Few days ago the whole Vadodara city was suffering from the LPG like smell which continues for couple of days. The Nandesari Industrial estate is always in the light for such pollutions and now the law enforcers is also seeking help of GPCB to stop it.
