Focus on relevance and importance of organ donation in the country

NAIR Vadodara organised Organ donation awareness programme attended by senior functionaries of Indian Railways, officers and experts from medical and administrative departments. The chief speakers of the day were Dr. Pranjal Modi, Professor and head of Liver transplant IKDRC, Anupam Gahlot, Commissioner of Police, Vadodara, Dr. Deepali Tewari, ACMS and Dr. Jayesh Rajpura.

The focus of the seminar was on the relevance and importance of Organ donation in the country. The speakers discussed in detail about the present status of organ donation along with its future prospects. Various challenges being faced in the process were discussed extensively.

The speakers also gave numerous suggestions to make people aware about the noble cause of organ donation. Various beneficiaries of organ donation shared their heart warming stories with the audience. Also the role of Police department by providing Green Corridor for making organ havesting possible was deliberated in the seminar.
