Multiplexes in Gujarat not screen Padmaavat

In growing protest and violence over film Padmaavat the Multiplexes in Gujarat will not screen the movie stated to be release on Thursday. The decision is taken in view of the prevailing law and order situation in Gujarat.In a press release the members of Multiplex Association of India take a decision not to screen the film Padmaavat at any of their Multiplexes in Gujarat. “The Multiplexes in Gujarat decided not to screen the movie in view of the safety concern after the violence over it’s release. The safety of our patrons and visitors is important and in present circumstances there could be a potential risk to the safety. We are keeping a close watch on the situation and review the decision in future keeping in mind the best interest of patrons,” said Deepak Asher President Multiplex Association of India.
