MSU Student bags prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship of EU

Dr Deepak Singh, who completed PhD under the guidance of Professor Pradeep T. Deota in Applied Chemistry Department, Faculty of Technology & Engineering, M S University of Baroda, Vadodara in 2014 has received the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF)2020 with grant of 183,473.28 Euros. These fellowships are awarded by European Commission and are highly competitive globally.

Dr Deepak Singh’s project proposal entitled “Photo-Organocatalytic CO2Valorisation into Bioactive Added-Value Molecules – Photo2Bio” was recognized with a seal of excellence. He will take up his new position as a Marie Curie postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemical Sciences; University of Padova, Italy from 1st Feb 2021.

The Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships-2020 provides fellows with a monthly stipend of 5043 Euros and other non-monetary benefits. Moreover, he will also receive 600 euro as mobility allowances and 500 euro as family allowances with a total € 6143 per month. The duration of the fellowship is 24 months.
