MSU cadet Pooja Yadav attended NCC Republic Day Camp at New Delhi

Secured bronze medal and became the ‘All India Best Cadet’ third position holder

Pooja Yadav N.C.C Cadet of Maharaja Sayajirao University attended the NCC Republic Day camp 2020 at New Delhi. She is at present pursuing her Bachelor in Commerce( honours ) and a cadet from 02 Gujarat Naval Unit.

The Republic Day Camp is a 1 month camp held at New Delhi for which the students are selected on the basis of parade, cultural performance and Best cadet. Pooja represented Gujarat as the best cadet from Navy wing (SW) at Delhi. She competed with several cadets from all 28 states and 9 union territories of India. She secured bronze medal and thereby became the ‘All India Best Cadet’ third position holder.

She has currently received the Governor’s Medal from Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat for her good performance. She has also scored the highest marks in firing among the best cadets from Gujarat directorate in RDC.

She got an opportunity to meet the Prime minister of India Narendra Modi, President Ramnath kovind, Defence minister Rajnath singh and chiefs of Army, Navy and Airforce. She was also honoured to deliver the ‘vote of thanks’ at the Navy house for Admiral Karambir singh.

In 2019-20 she had also completed her ‘All India Nau Sainik Camp’ which is also a national level camp held at Vishakhapatnam. PM Narendra Modi himself was a NCC cadet. NCC provides a very good platform for youth to develop and helps to make great leaders for the country.
