Dr. Mamta Chandraprakash Padole, Associate Professor in Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, M.S. University of Baroda has been conferred with the “Active Participation (Woman) Award- 2017” during the CSI Annual Convention on 21st January 2018 at Science City Kolkata. The Award is in Recognition of her Contribution to the CSI Activities for ICT Professionals.

Dr. Mamta C. Padole is currently Hon. Secretary of CSI, Vadodara Chapter. She is actively involved in coordinating and organizing several CSI professional activities for corporate members, academicians and students.

In the year 2017, she coordinated the Young IT Professional Awards a national level Competition for Region III, which included the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. She had also coordinated Computer Day Celebration in which nearly 525 students from 35 schools and 15 colleges in and around Vadodara had participated for various ICT related technical competitions.

She was part of the organizing committee for organizing National Seminar on “Cyber Security” which included as its Chief Guest, the first woman Electronics Engineer from Gujarat Smriti Dagur and was attended by nearly 350 ICT Professionals from Industry, Academics and students.

Dr. Mamta has been actively associated with CSI activities for more than 15 years holding various positions in the Management Committee and has also organized workshops for School Teachers, besides other Professionals. She has also been contributing in recruiting ICT Professionals in various Schools, Colleges, Govt. and Semi Govt. organizations. As an Academician she is also involved in Research and has publications in International Conferences and Journals.

The CSI Annual Convention is being organized since 1966, attended by nearly 2000 renowned ICT Professionals, from all over India. The Keynote Speaker of the 52nd Annual Convention at Kolkata was Prof. Mike Hinchey, President, IFIP and Ex-Director for Software Engineering Laboratory at NASA. CSI has 75 chapters all over India with more than 10,000 Lifetime members.
