MRF 2W rally kick starts from Vadodara

This weekend the people of Vadodara will witness first ever national racing championship where riders from Gujarat and all across the country will take part and show their riding skills on the dirt track. The highlight of the race is separate ladies class where the females challenge their male counterparts.

‘MRF 2-Wheeler Rally of Vadodara 2017′ the first round of MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Rally Championship will be held on 29-30 April in Vadodara followed by three other rounds in Indore, Pune and Nashik. Team TVS Racing and PK Racing are the two team entries along with Thirty other riders have confirmed their entries coming to Gujarat from all across the country. This is going to be first ever National Championship in the state of Gujarat.

A separate LADIES CLASS will be highlight of this year’s championship. “This will be vibrant Gujrat‘s first ever national rally championship”, informed Amit Waghchoure COC of the rally. AW events are the organisers of the race.

The track designed in Vadodara is simple rally track where the racers will race 4 to 5 loops in which two or three are reverse ones as decided by the organisers later on. The racers will start from Hotel Comfort Inn reach the rally area complete three loops then reach the starting point for service their bikes and then return back for the reverse loops.rally
The bikes are of 9 categories and out of which two are foreign and rest are Indian modified bikes. Ladies are allowed to use bikes of their choice. The bikes are of 130cc, 165cc, 210cc, 350cc, 450cc and 550cc. The organisers are also plan to organise Star of Baroda category for the local racers of the city.

Well known names in racing like R. Natraj from team TVS, Venu Ramesh Kumar from PK racing, Yashraj Rathod, Shamim Khan, Nikesh Thackrey and Hiten Thakkar along with others will zoom in to Vadodara for making the weekend a racing delight.

AW EVENTS will run the first four championship rounds all of them in the western India whereas the remaining two fifth and sixth rounds will be conducted in the southern Indian states in the month of July and September.

Gujrat and Madhya Pradesh, where the first and second round of the championship will be held. The third championship round will be held in Pune on 27’“and 28’h May in association with Gearlogs. The fourth round will be organized in Nashik on 2″d and 3rd June. After the fourth round the championship will resume after a rest of two months in the south Indian states.

Godspeed is the Promoter of the championship powered by TVS Apache and Indian Oil -Servo. Supported by Vadodara Automotive racing, Hawaban Harde, Hotel Comfort Inn, Isuzu Motors, Medical Partner-Sterling Hospital.

Last year the championship was held in nine classes, this year ladies class has been introduced for the championship category. Every city will run a local class along with the championship.

Vadodara will witness STAR OF Vadodara category. This will encourage local participation in the two wheeler category.

The rally will start from Hotel Comfort Inn near golden Chokadi. There rally will be run in five rounds in 50 kms. The total distance is I50 kms.
