Seek help after the girl inflicted injury in fit of rage
In recent years mobile phones totally changed the lives of children as they slowly goes away from games and activities and this leads the children more active in their own virtual world rather than the real one. The school going students are so much addicted towards mobile phones that there have been many cases accidents and their studies also affected by the addiction. In such secnario parents are on the receiving end as they sometimes don’t find ways to rescue their children from mobile addiction.
One such case came to light in Vadodara where parents took the help of Abhayam helpline to help their daughter. The girl resides in the Chhani area of the city is addicted to mobile such an extent that it affected her results in 12th Science exams. As a result her parents took the mobile back and to their shock she inflicted injuries on hand with a knife. Watching in fear they called the Abhayam team for help. The team treated the girl and counseled her to turn attention towards studies and get good results in exams.
As per the family, the girl was good in studies and one day asked for mobile as everyone in her class possess it. However after that she indulge in her own virtual world of mobile and inspite of various warning by the parents she continue with her mobile addiction. One day the parents saw her picture with a boy and while asking she answered other way and also her results in the class slowly going down. With no options left the parents took her mobile and in a fit of rage she inflict injuries on her hand with a knife. The shocked parents immediately called the 181 Abhayam helpline for help.
The team reached their house and counselled the girl to turn her attention towards her studies as 12th Science is important for her career and must turn her attention to get good results. They asked her to concentrate on her career and utilise the time to reach your dreams. The girl apologise for her act and promise to concentrate on studies and respect her parents.
