Organised by Gujarat Kennel saw entries from all across the country
More then 150 dogs of 31 different breeds participate in the All Breeds Championship Dog show in Vadodara held on Sunday. Organised by The Gujarat Kennel Club the 40th and 41st dog show saw entries from all across the country with many rare breeds showcased by their owners.
Gujarat Kennel Club was formed in 1982 and since then they organise dog shows in various cities. Like every year this time also they organise their 40th and 41st All Breed dog show in Anaya lawns in Vadodara.
Nearly 154 entries are coming to this year’s dog show where different breeds of dogs are on display with their owners. The entries are from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Delhi and other places coming with their pet dogs.
Total of 37 breeds are taking part in competition held in different categories where the winners in each group will be felicitated with trophy and certificates by the organisers.
Dog Show is a sport wherein dog owners participate with their dogs. These are judged by eminent judges from the judges panel of the Kennel Club of India.
Dog shows are held in order to educate the common man about different breeds of dogs and their specialties like why were they created for different needs of humans and the special care that should be given to different breeds in this country. It also educates how to go for scientific breeding based on true to the type and pure bloodlines. Further, it also brings awareness about the different kinds of training for dog like domestic, security, drug sniffers and others.
