During last 10 days number of corona patients decreased in all the hospitals in city

Under the guidance of OSD and Education Secretary Dr. Vinod Rao and with the health assistance from the State Government, intensive covid management has been carried out in Vadodara city and district for the last 6 months yielding good results.

Dr. Vinod Rao said that the Dhanvantari Raths, which were started in July, completed the first 100 days of operation on Friday so that people could get health services close to home and get quick treatment, especially in cases of cold, cough, fever and phlegm. During which more than 5 lakh people availed its health services. The last 10 days have seen a decrease in the number of corona patients in all the hospitals following 6 months of intensive and strategic health operations.

He said a home visit-based health survey was initially launched to find out the suspected patients and start treatment immediately. This was done covering the entire urban area during the first seven rounds. He then implemented a policy of intensive home survey in the last 3 rounds to make this strategy more effective and targeted in the areas where the risk of corona is high. A total of 10 rounds of surveys were completed on Friday. The 11th round of targeted survey will held from 13th to 16th October. All these precautions made it possible to identify patients with symptoms at an early stage and treat them with timely treatment. In Covid Management, Vadodara has conducted a leading and successful experiment of Home Based Covid Care since May and implemented it more advancedly since September. Telephonic monitoring was started of Corona patients over 50 years of age and those who have symptomatic covid or have other diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, BP and are being treated in a single room at home under Advanced Home Based Covid Care from September. The teams also began to take care of their health twice a day. If the health of such people seems to be deteriorating, the approach of treating them immediately by hospitalization has worked and the lives of about 50 such people have been saved. Thus, Vadodara is giving a firm and successful fight against Covid with the help of the state government.
