    Central Government has granted Rs 50,000 crore for smart city project. Where another funds will be provided by State Governments, Municipal Corporations and Private Sectors.

    Total 89 percent money will be invested on real estate, urban development, Housing, Buildings and Water front development. Only 7 percent will be spent on Technology Infrastructure and 4 percent for the Public services.

    There will be 74 percent investment in first 20 city for Area based development. 66 percent investment will be made for the compact area in the city.

    In the Compact Area Development mostly money will be invested in the sectors of Transport, Energy, Water/Waste Water Management. This sectors will have 95 percent part in the Compact area based development.
