“It’s a true story based on youth from a middle class family, his struggle and waiting for the right opportunity to prove himself. The real base is the friendship which helps the characters of the film move positively. The film is entirely shot in Ahmedabad showing the heritage as well as the modern style of the city. We want to show the state in different way not the stereotype showcased everywhere and making fun of the people of Gujarat. The days we spent inside the Pol and learning the language is one of the biggest happiness in life,” said Jackky.

Debutant Kritika Kamra said the film is a stepping stone for her in the industry and expect her fans to like her in this new avtaar. “I am excited as it’s a new streak in my professional life and I expect the same love and affection from my fans which they give for the popular characters I played on television. There is a pressure before the release but I am sure the people will like the film as it’s a family entertainer good for every age people. People will see the traditional Gujarati flavour in the film as we shot it in traditional locations of Ahemadabad. People can connect with the film as it’s very much like their own story of struggle and friendship they face,” said Kamra.

Director Nitin Kakkar who has a long association with Gujarat always wants to direct a film showing the real culture. Although he is against the remix and remake culture but the story of the film flows his away.

“I am against remakes but the story of the film makes me flow with the tide. I am attached to the culture for long as wife is from here but the way people make fun of Gujarati people with the accent is always make me feel badly from inside. This film shows the real culture of the state using the good words by the actors to connect the local people and also showing the different picture of Gujaratis outside,” said Kakkar.

On the controversy over the iconic song ‘Chalte Chalte’ and tweet of Lata Mangeshkar he said they want to give something new to the present generation without change the original flavour. He feel bad after the tweet by the icon Lata Mageshkar on the song.

He further said Ahmedabad is perfect location for his film as it has both heritage and modern touch to it. He also learned many things during the shooting of the film. “The experience in shooting inside the Pol is something beyond words as people connect with us very easily and support during shoot. I learn the planned mechanism of Pol as there is no visible drains but all are underground. Moreover the food, music, Gujarati films make me fall in love with the culture of the state,” said Kakkar.

Kakkar is working on his next project based on Kashmir which is a love story of a different type. He is also launching Zahir Iqbal in this film.
