Minority Minister Najma Heptulla resigns

Narendra Modi’s cabinet minister of Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla resigned on 12^th July 2016. President Pranab Mukherjee accepted the resignation of Najma Heptulla and President assigned the ministry’s independent charge to MoS Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

Another resignation was given by GM Siddeshwara, MoS for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Babu Supriyo was given the portfolio and he was relieved as the MoS of Urban Development Ministry and Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation Ministry.

Najma Heptulla said after resignation, “I will always be available for any responsibility given to me in future. I have resigned from my post due to personal reasons.”
