Jumped from 7th floor of her hostel room
A medical student studying at Sumandeep University in Pipaliya village of Waghodia taluka committed suicide by jumped from the seventh floor of a hostel. The student who came on January 4, the day college started and her suicide within five days shocked eveeyone.
According to the available details the girl was staying in the Wama Girls Hostel of Sumandeep University at Pipaliya village in Waghodia taluka and was in the final year of physiotherapy.
For unknown reasons she jumped to death on Friday. The hostel warden Vipul Pandya and on duty security and students rushed to the spot after heard a thud sound. She was rushed in a car to Dhiraj Hospital in campus for treatment. But, despite the close efforts of the doctors of the hospital she could not survive.
Meanwhile, the incident was reported to the Waghodia police and unarmed head constable Pravinbhai rushed to the university with the staff. The police took possession of the body and send to Jarod Referral Hospital for postmortem.
Her family members lives in Surat were also informed and they rushed to the university. The family was stunned to hear about the suicide and cried continuously.
Giving information, Pravin Kumar said, the girl is a resident of Shaakhi village in Palsana taluka of Surat, and studying in the final year (fourth year) of physiotherapy in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth near Pipaliya village in Waghodia taluka. Out of 7 hostels in Vidyapeeth, she lives is Wama hostel Room No. 324 on the 7th floor.
Pravinbhai further said that after closed her room at around 9 am, she jumped to death from the window of the room behind the hostel. She was rushed to the hospital by the Chief Warden and Security, but died during treatment. An accidental death has been registered in connection with the incident.
