Medical examination carried out in eight villages of Karjan

57 teams conduct extensive screening the villages

On the instructions of District Collector Shalini Agrawal 57
teams are conducting intensive health survey in 8 villages of Karjan taluka.
Eight villages in Karjan are declared core area and sealed by Vadodara District
Collector after four positive cases comes to light from Ikhar village in
Bharuch. The decision is taken as a preventive measure to spread the infection
as the borders of the villages are touching Bharuch.



The police and the administration put a checkpost and closed
all the roads between all 8 villages consists of Valan, Sansrod, Mankan,
Mesraad, Dhamnaj, Mangrol, Dethan and Sampa in Karjan taluka and Bharuch.
District collector also gives instructions of close monitoring of the villages
in view of the Corona scare.



Following this, Chief District Health Officer Dr. Uday
Tilawat visited the village of Sansarod in the buffer zone on Sunday and
inspected the functioning of the health teams. Earlier in the day he visited
Valan and Dhamnaj villages to review the work.

   

He said that around 57 health teams, under the guidance of 6
doctors have carried out the health survey of 28600 population in these 8 villages.
So far 19112 people have been covered under the survey and during that time 3
cases of fever and 9 cases of cough comes to light. 10 people are treated on
the spot and two others are inspected and given necessary treatment by the
medical officer.
