Mechanical engineer and advocate from Vadodara provide tea snacks to families of covid patients

Many charitable organizations and young people who want to do something for the society have come forward to help in their own way in the wake of Corona. Two such youths from Vadodara are providing tea and snacks to the families of covid patients waiting outside the hospitals.

Thousands of covid patients are being treated in government as well as private hospitals in Vadodara. In particular, temporary hospitals have been started inside the premises of government hospital, government buildings and religious institutions with oxygen and ventilator facilities for the treatment of covid patients. It may be mentioned here that covid patients from Vadodara city, district and surrounding districts have also come for treatment in the government run temporary covid hospitals.

Tea, snacks as well as meals are provided by the administration to the patients in these working hospitals. But the relatives of the patients are not getting such facilities and for them social organizations and service-minded youth have come forward to provide them tea breakfast and meals.

Mitesh Wadgama, a mechanical engineer who lives in Vadodara, and Advocate Deep Agarwal, who works as a company secretary, are providing early morning tea and refreshments to the relatives of outpatients undergoing treatment at temporary covid hospitals at Samaras Hostel, Polytechnic College. Hot snacks and tea are being served daily by these youngsters. They are providing breakfast to 150 to 200 people every day which includes snacks like samosa and Poha.

Mitesh Wadgama, who is a mechanical engineer and works in interior designing, said that instead of criticising the government in the Corona epidemic, what we can do is important. With this in mind, he and his friend Deep Agarwal decides to do something and providing morning tea and snacks to the relatives of the patients undergoing treatment at covid Hospital located at Samaras Hostel. Service-minded people are also indirectly involved in their work and as more aware of their service they contact them and offer tea and snacks.

He further said that in the Corona epidemic, they surveyed and found out that patients being treated in hospitals get tea, snacks and meals. But relatives of outpatients do not get tea and snacks in the morning. They have to travel up to nearly two kilometers to have tea in the morning. With this in mind, the two friends decided to provide tea and snacks at the center set up at covid Hospital, located at Samaras Hostel.

Today both friends are providing morning tea and breakfast and also plan to provide the same at other covid centers in the coming days if possible.

Both Mitesh Wadgama and Deep Agarwal said, they are satisfied with the work they are doing and at the same time expressing happiness by doing their best for the society. They will continue this work till corona ends.
