The 10 years old mare was roaming with her one year old kid in the Gorwa area of the city for two months and on Thursday the locals called the WRT volunteers who rescued the mare and her kid. They were now taken to Karjan Panjrapole.

“Arvind Pawar from WRT recieved a rescue call about the mare and the volunteer Jignesh Pawar reached there and tied both safely. I called the Karjan Panjrapole and arranged the transportation to shift them there. It seems the owner left them abandoned after she injured her leg. The mare is of Panch Kalyani breed,” said Neha Patel who arranged the transportation and also a wildlife activist in Vadodara.
