They say history repeats itself and Gujarati cinema will witness this with the upcoming film Vickida No Varghodo starring Malhar Thakar. The actor has teamed up yet again with producer, Sharad Patel, who has also produced Thakar’s 2015 debut film, Chhello Divas.

Coincidentally, Chhello Divas was SP’s debut film as a producer which laid the foundation to SP Cinecorp. Despite being a regional film, it became an iconic symbol and made its mark across the nation. The movie also opened new avenues for others in Gujarati cinema.

SP believes that the Gujarati cinema industry had become too cluttered post Chhello Divas and it is time to systematize the industry and produce quality content with a polished visual appeal. Speaking about the reason for choosing this film after Chhello Divas, Sharad commented, ”We purposely chose this film because we wanted it to be good and I assure you that Vickida No Varghodo will be much better than Chhello Divas”. Sharad was also the producer of the 2019 Bollywood super hit, “The Tashkent Files” and 2016 critically acclaimed film, Buddha In A Traffic Jam.

Vickida No Varghodo has been started filming from 15th October, and will be directed by Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia. Rahul Bhole carries a great reputation and has recently bagged the 2nd Best Director award for the film ”Chor Bani Thanghat Kare”. He also won the National award in the best Gujarati film category for ’Reva’.

Vickida No Varghodo will be Jointly Produced by Shreyanshi Patel. She has come on board to ensure a disciplined process of filmmaking, carrying with her an experience of producing the 2016 critically acclaimed film, Buddha In A Traffic Jam. The other panel of producers also include Janvi Telefilms (Mumbai) and Aadesh Dev Kumar of Super Hit Entertainment. Kumar also has to his credit the super hit Gujarati Film “Sharato Lagu” with Malhar Thakar in the lead role. Vickida No Varghodo is co-produced by Pritish Shah. The entire panel of producers is very positive and excited about the film and its content.

Scheduled to release in the first half of 2020, the film shooting will be done at various locations of Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Vidyanagar.
