Members of Vadodara Mahila Congress Committee give a memorandum to the Chief Minister in view of the foul smell and complaints of harmful gas in many areas of the city since last 15 days. The members demand the CM to make public announcement of foul announcement as well as making offsite emergency plan for the city public.

The women members of Mahila Congress shouted slogans against the officials of the pollution control board and the administration claiming that they failed to control the situation.

They give the memorandum to the CM through Vadodara collector and demand to control the situation which the people of Vadodara is suffering from the last fifteen days.Mahila“Citizens of Vadodara went through trauma of the stench of gas continuously from 27th to 31st March which is just like the LPG smell. After a brief period once again on Tuesday night on 11th April the same much severe stench of gas was felt in mnay areas of Vadodara city give sleepless night to the people. The stench was definitely of toxic gas as eyes and throats were burning and it was suffocating,” said Ami Ravat President Vadodara Mahila Congress Committee.

The Mahila Congress also complained that after so many days the situation is still the same and the source of the leakage is still untraceable. “This is second time in last 15 days that such stench created panic in Vadodara and the pollution control board hasn’t been able to find out the cause of it. As per environmental experts the gas is harmful and till date the source of the gas is not made public. There is no disaster mitigation plan and also the guidelines for the people is not released in such situations,” said Ravat.

The members demand action against the culprits and also to know the source of the foul gas emitting and give citizens sleepless nights.
